Maldives Islamic Bank invites reliable and experienced parties to submit quotations for the supply and installation of a fire suppression system.

 

Interested parties are requested to submit quotations as per the items described below.

Fire suppression system for Data Center

The system should have automatic fire detection mechanism followed by an automatic suppression system.

The system must have an alarming system with a siren and a beacon to alert the surroundings.

The system must also support manual actuation for the release of suppression agent.

The system must suppress a possible fire by flooding appropriate amount/quantity of gas based on the volume of the room inside the Data Center.

The system must use clean agent gas approved/certified and tested for critical equipment rooms.

The system must have the ability to prevent re-ignition based on concentration levels.

The suppressing agent must be stored in high strength steel containers and appropriate grade of piping system must be used.

Adequate numbers for efficient extinguishing on detectors and releasing points shall be proposed by the suppliers.

Supplier shall propose the best and appropriate design/solution after inspection of the Data Center site, and based on their experience and knowledge.

QUOTATION SUBMISSION

Quotations submitted in response to this RFQ should contain the following information.

Brand, model, part number and specifications of the quoted items that comply with the specifications described in this RFQ.

Price of the quoted items in Maldivian Rufiyaa (MVR), inclusive of Customs duty, clearance, and delivery to the Bank’s premises (prices should be given per item and in total).

Quantity of items quoted.

Delivery period in days.

Warranty period.

Quotations submitted in response to this RFQ may be submitted in in sealed packages (with the name of the proposer, RFQ number, RFQ name and the word “CONFIDENTIAL” clearly labelled on the outside of the package) or via email to procurement@mib.com.mv. Quotations must be submitted on or before 2PM on Thursday, 17th October 2018.

EVALUATION CRITERIA

All quotations will be evaluated based on the following criteria.

Price (60%)

 

Price will be evaluated based on the lowest price proposed, i.e., the quotation with the lowest price (for both one-time and recurring costs) will score the highest and maximum score of 60% while the remaining will be given scores relative to the lowest price.

 

Delivery period (25%)

 

Delivery period will be evaluated based on the lowest delivery and installation period proposed, i.e., the quotation with the lowest delivery and installation period will score the highest and maximum score of 25% while the remaining will be given scores relative to the lowest price. The Bank expects the delivery period to be less than 45 days.

 

Experience (15%)

 

Experience will be evaluated based on the stability of the business and completion of similar projects in the past. The following supporting documents must be submitted with the quotation.

Company profile (with business registration)

Reference letters of similar projects completed

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. All quotations must be submitted before the submission deadline specified in this RFQ. Quotations submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.

2. The proposer shall only supply genuine software and hardware. The Bank will not accept any used or after-market items.

3. Quotations submitted in response to this RFQ should be valid for a minimum period of 60 (sixty) days from the date of submission.

4. The items should be delivered to the Bank within 30 days from the confirmation of the order.

5. During the warranty period, the proposer should provide replacements and support services.

6. The Bank may add or remove items before placing the order.
