Maldives Islamic Bank inaugurates new Sales Centre in GA. Villingilli

Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) successfully inaugurated its newest sales centre in Villingilli Island of Gaaf Alif Atoll on Monday, 24 February 2026, advancing the bank's mission to expand its reach and promote financial inclusion across the Maldives.

The newly opened Sales Centre complements the Bank’s existing 24/7 ATM services, which provide convenient cash deposit and withdrawal facilities to the local community. In addition to these round-the-clock services, the Sales Centre offers an innovative, fully digital account opening and financing application process, enabling customers to access banking solutions quickly and seamlessly.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Hon. Azim Abdul Azeez, GA. Villingilli Constituency Parliament Member; Mr. Ibrahim Shaheen, GA. Atoll Council President; Mr. Vishal Mohamed, President of the Secretariat of the Villingilli Council; and Mr. Ibrahim Shuhail, Head of Distribution at MIB.

As the regional service provider for all islands in the area, the GA. Villingilli Sales Centre is set to become a beacon of convenience and support, offering reliable banking services to residents of the atoll, bringing services closer to the community, improving access, and further strengthening engagement with customers throughout Gaaf Alif Atoll.
