MIB Announces Guesthouse Symposium 2025

Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) has confirmed that it will once again host the Guesthouse Symposium this year, scheduled to take place at Crossroads Maldives on October 2. Alongside guesthouses, a range of tourism-related businesses are also expected to attend and take part in key discussions.

The symposium will serve as a platform to explore industry challenges and hear insights from experienced professionals.

Speaking at a media briefing yesterday, MIB’s Deputy CEO Ahmed Riza noted the success of last year’s event and expressed optimism for an even stronger turnout this year.

“This year, we aim to accommodate 150 participants at the Guesthouse Symposium, just like last year. We’re hopeful that the response will exceed expectations,” he said.

Riza also shared that small and medium-sized enterprises offering tourism-related services will have the chance to showcase their work by setting up stalls at the event.

The inaugural symposium, held last year, attracted more than 150 attendees. MIB added that online applications for this year’s event will open soon, with details to be announced later.
